Need to Advocate for a loved one but not sure where to start?

I found myself thrown into the same situation and my wheels spun for years until I got connected to the right resources and people to help me move forward. Being outside of your situation will allow me to see it for what it is, and help you make forward progress by goal setting, building on your strengths, and improving your communications.

My journey to get here has truly been one of building an unshakable faith. my oldest son was killed by gun violence in 2014. this alone would have stopped anyone. Quitting was not an option. I have two other son's. i need to be shawn’s voice now that he is gone. I have to keep Going when there seems to be no reason to keep going. Encouraging others, I finally listened to myself and found myself to be be Necessary: I can not be frustrated regardless of any attempt or desire to the contrary. I am here to fulfill a need. I am a must have. I am an absolute. I’m Very Necessary!

We are all VERY necessary

Say this affirmation with me, “I am here to FULFILL a need. I am a must have. I am an absolute. I’m very necessary!

Shawn Moss Wellness And Growth Foundation

Providing resources to foster success in communities affected by gun violence.

Gun violence disproportionately affects the Black community. The Shawn Moss Wellness and Growth (SWAG) Foundation was created in honor of my beloved son, Shawn Moss. Gun violence took him from us too soon, in 2014. To give voice to his legacy, our foundation fights against gun violence by uplifting our communities. Shawn loved basketball, kids, and teaching. We provide educational resources, household items, and events that support communities disproportionately affected by gun violence. We set Black children & adults up for success.
