A cup of coffee
I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only one that thinks that customer service has declined greatly. I was early for an appointment so I decided to sit down at some tables that were outside of a sub shop. Since it was the public building that I was waiting in I thought that it would be okay.
I turned to see a sign in the corner that read no outside food or drink. Seating is for customers only. After reading the sign. My thought was. What if I were meeting my friend here for lunch and bought my lunch with me. Did that mean they would have to order their food to go? After reading the sign I was a little nervous that they would ask me to move so I went and bought a cup of coffee. This would allow me to sit until it was time for my appointment.
I had noticed earlier an older lady come in to open the shop and start getting things ready. Soon other employees began to show up. The lady began to bark out orders at everyone including the owner. Her biggest complaint was that she wanted everyone else to do their job because she was required to do hers. She never even considered who else was around. She had a complaint and she was going to be heard by everyone. Including me. I now regretted that I had bought the coffee.
My point is this you never know where your customers are. If you have a business or work for someone you should want to be professional at all times. Do I think that the customer is always right? No. Then again it's called customer service not how you feel service. Handle your business issues in private. You never know where your next customer is.
